What we believe

We believe in the one true God who lives eternally in three persons - the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that God sent his Son, Jesus, born truly divine and truly human, yet without sin. Jesus died on the cross in our place, paying the price of sin, defeating evil and enabling our relationship with God to be made right.

The Holy Spirit leads us to seek forgiveness, unites us with Christ, and equips us to be disciples who follow Jesus and share his good news.

We believe in the authority of scripture as the written Word of God.

We believe that the church is a family of God’s people, committed to Christ, to one another and to serving God in the world. In this family, everyone is equal, for everyone has a part to play in the service of God.

We believe that God’s family is open to everyone.

Showing love and care for one another, in response to a loving God, is one of the major themes of the Bible. It also a key part of what it means to be church family.
