Building a place for community to thrive

Our home: Lovat Hall

Fit for purpose today and in the future

We love our church family and the Newport Pagnell community of which we are a part. Our heart is to share God’s love and to see lives transformed for the better and lived to the full. We believe a new, redeveloped building is a great way to help see this happen.

We run Lovat Hall as a community centre that is open to all. However the building’s age and condition mean that significant improvements are needed to ensure it can continue to operate in this way to benefit current and future generations.

Background to the project

Refurbishments already completed

Incredible transformation

We are thankful that in summer 2024 we were able to refurbish our leaking and uninsulated main hall. We also made improvements to other parts of the building in early 2025 with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.

These improvements have been possible thanks to the fundraising efforts and donations of our church family with support from external funders who recognised the value of this building to our community.

The next stage of redevelopment

To ensure the building’s future viability we also need to rebuild the uninsulated and poorly constructed 1940s part of the building at the rear of the site. This currently accommodates our smaller hall, kitchen, chapel, plant room and storage.

We are excited at the prospect of creating an improved and more flexible space for church and community use, including the addition of a first floor multi-use space.

Expressions of Interest for building redevelopment works

We are open to expressions of interest to tender for the redevelopment of the rear of our site, as  detailed in our recently awarded Planning Permission from Milton Keynes City Council (reference PLN/2025/1604).

We are looking for a full service contractor who can demolish the 1940s-built section of the rear of the building and rebuild a two-storey structure according to plans for new meeting rooms, kitchen, plant room and foyer, including all associated internal and external works.

We are seeking ethical contractors with appropriate experience of projects of this scale, with consideration in the tender proposals given to value for money, environmental sustainability and the minimisation of disruption to neighbouring residents and businesses.

Please register interest with our Operations Manager Alex Kelly at alex.kelly@npbc.org.uk by 31 December 2025 in order for us to provide tender pack details in the new year.

Thank you.
