The next stage of redevelopment
Planned for 2026
What the plans will deliver
Our redevelopment plans involve demolishing the dilapidated, leaking and energy inefficient 1940s-built section at the rear of the Lovat Hall building and rebuilding according to a modern two-storey design.
The existing rooms to be demolish include the Tickford Room with large integral storage area, chapel, kitchen, additional storage rooms and plant room.
In their place will be built:
a welcoming entrance foyer with seating
a ground floor meeting room (to replace our current Tickford Room)
a new modernised kitchen
a large upstairs meeting room that can be divided into two smaller rooms when needed
integral storage equipment cupboards for regular activities
an upstairs foyer/waiting area
a small kitchenette to service the upstairs space
additional toilets upstairs (including disabled/accessible facilities)
a new plant room to service a new heating system incorporating an air source heat pump and building management system.
The difference it will make
We are excited because this building project is not actually about the building β itβs about the impact it will have on all the people who use it for worship, social connection, recreation and support.
Lovat Hall is a place where life gets lived. The project will ensure that people in our community will not only continue to have a place to worship as part of a thriving, loving church but will also have access to free or low cost church-led activities, access to sport and social groups run by the community and options for hiring affordable spaces.

There are so many ways you can get involved to help us redevelop the building and create a place where community can thrive. We invite you to:
