Pastoral News: 28 March 10
Thank you for your prayer support for our Easter Cracked presentations. They have gone well, and the programme concludes tomorrow (Monday 29th) with Portfields and Cedars Schools.
“Jesus of Nazareth” DVD or Video for The Girls’ Brigade
Does anyone have a copy of the film “Jesus of Nazareth” please, preferably in DVD format? The Seniors in the Girls’ Brigade are going to be using this film as part of their badge work after the Easter holidays. If you are able to lend them a copy then please contact Karen Evans or Lucy Brown.
Special Church Meeting
On Wednesday 31st March at 8.00pm we have a Special Church Meeting to consider the appointment of a second minister for NPBC. Following on from the presentation at the recent Annual Church Meeting, we shall be considering the rationale and role for a second minister, and all members are strongly urged to be present. We believe these are important days for us as a church – please take your part in helping us together to know God’s clear guidance to us for the future.
Flower Rota
Have you considered joining the flower rota? A new rota will start in May and it would good to add some new names to it. The cut flower display from the Sunday worship is given away by the pastoral assistants as part of their ministry and the flowers provided for the chapel stay for all the activities there during the week. If you would like to be included in the Sunday and/or the chapel rota, or want to provide the flowers for a particular date, please see Janet Brown or Yvonne Higgins. Thank you

MK Bridgebuilder Trust Fundraising Challenge 2010
This year sees the fourth annual Bridgebuilder Fundraising Challenge. For 2010 we are setting up a multi level challenge on Saturday 15th May along the Greensand Ridge. This is Bedfordshire’s premier Long Distance Footpath, running from Gamlingay on the Cambridgeshire border to Leighton Buzzard along well-marked paths through a range of scenery.
For the energetic the challenge is to complete the 40 miles in a day. For those who enjoy a walk but at a more leisurely pace, we are suggesting a range of starting points with participants aiming to arrive at Stockgrove Park late afternoon.
The Challenge is open to individuals, families, church groups, youth teams etc. Leaflets and registration forms are available on the stewards table. We are hoping to raise £5000 for Bridgebuilder.
