Pastoral News: 24 May 09
Please remember our Amicus group in your prayers as they are currently enjoying a weekend together at Feldon Lodge. Please pray for good weather and for the young people that they will be challenged by what they see and hear over the weekend.
Quick Prayer Request from the Isle of Man
We’ve recently received the following request from James & Lynn Howitt. “Please could we ask that NPBC remember Thomas in prayer this Sunday as he witnesses to his faith in baptism. He’s chosen to be baptized on Port St Mary beach rather than in the privacy of the church and will be making this commitment in front of a number of his friends as well as our church family. (If the weather doesn’t improve he’ll also be wearing a wetsuit!!).
We’d also like to pass on our thanks to those at NPBC who have encouraged Tom on his Christian walk!”
Logos Hope Visits London
The new Operation Mobilisation ship the “Logos Hope” is visiting London from 11th to 28th June. You will find her at South Quay, Canary Wharf. Do try and go as it will be an excellent opportunity to see the latest in the OM fleet, and it will surely be very interesting, as Barbara and Keith can verify after a recent visit to her sister ship the Doulos. Times are Sunday 14.00 to 22.00, Monday is Closed, Tuesday to Saturday, 10.00 to 22.00.
Women Need To Talk
Ladies, this is to give you early notice that that Fiona Castle is speaking at a Ladies Breakfast at Frosts Garden centre on 19th September. Tickets are £5.50 and we would ask that you let Mary Buckell know by the 31st May if you would like to go. It starts at 8.45 and finishes by 10.30am.
Church Picnic
Please make a note of the following in your diary. On Sunday 14th June we are going to enjoy a church picnic together immediately after the morning service. Bring a picnic and share in the fun. Games and other entertainment will be provided. For further details contact Steve Greenfield.

Please be available from 12.30 - 15.30 to include setting up and clearing away. If this is something that you can do, please speak to either Wendy Turner or Sue Garnham Thank you!

Appeal
Additional help is required on the following Sundays (July 26th, Aug. 23rd and 30th) to assist with setting up ready for worship or it really will mean collect a chair on your way into worship. Please see Catherine if you would be able to help.
