Richard Wilson has been entered as part of a team for the Rotary Club Sponsored Swimathon by the Disabled Swimming Club in Newport Pagnell. The event is scheduled for 27th February in the Middleton Pool. He is looking for sponsors. Please would anyone wishing to sponsor him email him at.

Sunday 21st February is the closing date for nominations to the Diaconate or Eldership. Please return all nominations to Paul Rosier or Catherine Hall in a sealed envelope. Extra forms are available from the stewards table or from the church office.

HomeGroups!

As this is now the season of Lent Groups. Many of our usual home groups are continuing, and several of them are using the study material “Jesus’ Final Week”. It may be that you would like to join one of these groups, and our groups on Monday afternoon, Tuesday afternoon and evening as well as Wednesday evening are using this material. Our usual groups are listed in the church diary for the week, and you will be welcome to join any of these groups.

Easter Cracked 2010

Christmas may be a recent memory (especially since the snow keeps lingering!) but Easter is just round the corner – and we are already preparing for Easter Cracked, the interactive two-hour presentation for year 6 school children. We have six schools participating again this year, and we need YOUR help!

· are you available to help with one of the presentations? We need people to help the children with the activities, to talk with them, to help set up the activities and to generally make themselves useful. There is a list available today – please look at it and sign up for one or more of the sessions. Thank you.

· we need a lot of Cadbury’s Crème Eggs! We give each child an egg as they leave as a reminder of what they have shared in Easter Cracked. We need a minimum of 380 of the standard size Crème Eggs. Thank you for your generosity in the past – a gift of just three or six of the eggs is really helpful to us, and a box is now available for your donations. Hurry – next year they might be Kraft Crème Eggs!

Replacement DP operator required

Due to the fact that Rod (and Chris) will be moving away (is anyone interested in a three bed roomed, link detached house?) there is a need to find a new person, of whatever age, to add to the team of DP operators. Training is available both with the operating system SongPro and, if required, PowerPoint. If you are interested in knowing more please contact Rod.

Women’s World Day of Prayer 2010

We are hosting this year's Women’s World day of Prayer on Friday 5th March at 7.30pm. This service has been planned by the Christian women of Cameroon. Do come along and support this service. If you have any questions then please see either Barbara Bedford or Jenny Turner.

Prayer Triplets

“Again I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.’ Matthew 18v 19,20.

NPBC’s prayer triplet scheme has been running for several years now, and many people in our fellowship belong to a triplet. A prayer triplet is a group of three who meet regularly to pray together. They meet at a mutually convenient time and place and each triplet decides for itself how often to get together and what prayer topics to cover. If you are already part of a triplet, or you meet regularly to pray with someone else please tell us so that we have an up to date record. If you are interested in joining a triplet let us know so we can link you with others. Thanks, Linda Row and Yvonne Higgins.

Directory 2010

The updated Church Directory for 2010 will be published shortly after the Annual Church Meeting. A copy of the present Directory will be in the foyer for the next three Sundays. Please check that your present contact details are up to date and amend as necessary.

If you have started worshipping at NPBC during the past twelve months and would like to be included in the Directory; please leave your name, address including postcode, telephone number and email address on the sheet provided.
