Eggs Appeal!
As part of the Easter Cracked presentation, we send each child home with a gift of a Cadbury's Creme Egg. Thank you for your generosity in the past, and this year we have a mega challenge!! As we have taken on two extra schools, we need 360 Creme Eggs!
Can you help by donating some eggs, please? Even just a small box of three or six will help us enormously. They can be placed in the container which will be available on the table by the Church Notice Board. Thank you again for your support.
Annual Church Meeting
We are pleased to report that at the Annual Church Meeting last Saturday, Eric Djan, Chris Kirby and Paul Manning were all elected to serve the church as Deacons. We are also pleased to report that Eric Eyre was elected to serve as an Elder.
Men’s Breakfast Dates
Gentlemen, please make a note in your diaries of the dates for our next men’s breakfasts. They are 16th May, 26th September and 12th December.
Please no ball games after worship!
Parents, please can we ask you to remind your children that ball games are not to be played after worship on a Sunday especially in the Portfield’s room; as damage to the ceiling has occurred. We also request that children do not play on the stage for safety reasons. Thank you for your cooperation.
Striking the Right Note
Two great musical events for you to enjoy
ROCK – Saturday 21st March 2009 at 4-00pm & 7-30pm – Barbirolli Hall, Chorleywood.
Rock is a new Christian Musical by Roger Jones featuring a national touring cast of actors, musicians, and dancers, and local choir Joyful Noise
Rock is the story of Peter - we see him called away from his fishing nets, his years on the road alongside Jesus and the disciples, his triumphs and failures. Jesus called Peter ‘The Rock’, but as the musical unfolds we see that only in Jesus, and filled with his Spirit, is Peter – and are we – on solid ground
Rock is Roger’s last touring musical on this scale, so this will be the last chance to see one of the musical premiere tours. Tickets for both performances are £10-00 each (Concessions £8-00).
PROM PRAISE – Saturday 4th April 2009 at 7-30pm – Royal Albert Hall, London.
Prom Praise is a unique blend of live music, word and worship combining the spirit of Songs of Praise” and the world famous Last Night of the Proms.
Prom Praise features Noel Tredinnick, All Souls Orchestra and Massed Prom Praise Choir and the guest soloists include David Erik Gross, Geraldine Latty, and Richard Baker (Piano). Tickets range from £6 (standing) to £33 & include a souvenir programme.
Further Information and Tickets for both events are available from Trevor and Christine Ransome.
