Pastoral News: 14 June 09
We thank God that Helen Austin is now home and making steady progress.
Tim Holmwood had a short stay in MK General Hospital and is now home and recovering well.
Marvin Chiltern continues to be improving and although still in Harefield hospital is working towards coming home soon.
We would remember all those awaiting surgery in the coming months and pray Gods hand of care and reassurance on them.
Finally we also pray for those of our young people who are still currently taking their exams and we remember them at this time and lovingly commit them to God in prayer. Mums and dads too!
Men’s Curry Evening
Gentlemen, fancy a curry evening? Well the Men’s Breakfast team have a great evening planned and booked the Kalkata Indian restaurant in Newport Pagnell for a 5 course banquet meal for just £8.99 each. The meal takes place on Thursday 25th June at 8.00pm. Please note the Kalkata serves only soft drinks but does permit wine and, on this occasion only, beer/lager to be brought along and makes no charge for corkage.
There are just 16 places available so you need to pass your name to Andrew Turner fast. How about bringing a non Christian friend along?
Churches Together in Newport Pagnell
It was decided at the CTNP Forum in January to not have a stall at this year’s carnival. Instead it was decided to have a planning meeting to discuss the 2010 carnival to decide what the aims are and what we can do. The Mission Group decided to have a meeting on Thursday June 11th at 7.45pm at the Methodist church to start our discussions off. We need plenty of people there to come up with ideas to hopefully present to the Forum on 18th June. If you are interested and able to attend you would be most welcome.
Disabled Toilet
Following an incident two weekends ago a new lock has been fitted to the door of the disabled toilet. This key uses The Disability Network's RADAR key. A copy is available in the caretaker's office and the Church office.
