Pastoral News: 01 March 09

Our congratulations to Claire Scott and Michael Sexsmith on their recent engagement! We are delighted for them both and have been pleased to welcome Michael and get to know him over these recent weeks. We pray God's blessing on their future together.

We pray for John Richards who is due to return to Addenbrookes Hospital today (Sunday) for further treatment and remember him, Sue and Matt at this time.

There has been some small improvement in the condition of Marvin Chilton and we continue to pray for him and his family in their continuing concern for him.

Easter Cracked 2009

Believe it or not, Easter 2009 is almost here! The four Newport Pagnell Schools, Giffard Park and Willen Schools have already booked Easter Cracked in their diaries and the Year 6 children are looking forward to being part of this year’s Easter Cracked Presentation. They are due to take place on the following dates.

Monday 23rd March morning Tickford Park School

Wednesday 25th March morning Willen School
afternoon Cedars School

Thursday 26th March morning Giffard Park School

Monday 30th March morning Portfields School
Afternoon Green Park School

If you would like to be part of these presentations and help the children in various ways throughout the session, please sign up on the list which will be available at the church AGM on Saturday March 7th and the following Sundays.

During the presentation the children split into discussion groups. If you are willing to help facilitate one of these, there is a preparation evening to go through the material on Friday 20th March between 7.30pm and 8.30pm at the church.

Eggs Appeal!

As part of the Easter Cracked presentation, we send each child home with a gift of a Cadbury's Creme Egg. Thank you for your generosity in the past, and this year we have a mega challenge!! As we have taken on two extra schools, we need 360 Creme Eggs!

Can you help by donating some eggs, please? Even just a small box of three or six will help us enormously. They can be placed in the container which will be available on the table by the Church Notice Board. Thank you again for your support.
