Amicus
Catering
for the 14+ age group (technically it stops at 21 but our members just
don't seem to want to leave), Amicus is the Church youth group. Our challenge
is to provide an environment where young people are nurtured, challenged
and feel part of the wider church; not just a group who are at home in
the worship and teaching atmosphere provided on a Monday night.
We meet weekly from 8pm-10pm on a Monday, but it doesn't stop there -
activities this year have included a trip to Chessington World of Adventures,
the infamous Fawlty Towers nativity, and Firm Foundations. We also go on a Summer
Camp each year. Full details can be found at
www.mk-camp.com
Firm Foundations, a Boys' Brigade run music festival, is regarded by
many as the highlight of the Amicus calendar. Every year it takes place
in the grounds of Felden Lodge in Hemel Hempstead, on the last weekend
in May. As well as music, arts and drama, there is a lot of worship and
fellowship to be had. People seem to go back year after year, so it can't
be too bad!
Not to be outdone on the web-page front, we have our own site, which
you can find here.
